About Us

In October 2010, a group of three brothers came together to donate funds to provide meals in school for students sitting for their national exam. Fast forward to 2022, and this seemingly small initiative grew into a registered NGO with a board of directors.

We set up community initiatives that support education, health, and environmental consciousness in the community. In the process, we have brought hope for a better life to the most vulnerable individuals in Western Kenya.

Phakama is the Zulu word for rise, and the Phakama 254 Foundation is an organization that aims to improve the quality of life in the Western region of Kenya.
